74. {12/04/09} I came up with the idea of making promises instead of goals and then I asked Ronna to be my Promise Partner. I kinda felt like a first grader asking the cool kid to be my friend. But, it was totally worth it because she gets it and now we meet once a week to support one another.
73. {12/03/09} I introduced myself to someone new and invited her to attend my upcoming Fempreneur Brainstorming Party. What a win! Fear said, “Why would this woman want to go to your event?” and I just let it go and invited her anyway. And you know what? She said yes and was even excited about it!
72. {12/02/09} Took a day off from everything because I fell at the ice skating rink and injured my writing hand AGAIN! It was horrible and I spent the evening in the Emergency Room. I’m okay, but I did need to have it checked out. No broken bones and it was a great opportunity to ask for help from a friend as I was unable to drive and didn’t want to call an ambulance.
70. {11/30/09} Instead of taking over from a place of frustration and judgment, I let my teenage daughter deal with a situation herself and it all worked out.
69. {11/29/09} Oy. Triggered again. Totally frustrated with a situation and person. But, I shared how I felt, spoke calmly, drew a boundary, and then did what I wanted to do. It was very liberating and perfect for the situation.
68. {11/28/09} I was so afraid to do this, but I allowed my daughter to go shopping alone on Telegraph Ave in Berkeley while The Hubs and I went to a movie. I felt like an over-protective parent, but I let it go and she was totally fine.
66. {11/26/09} Happy Thanksgiving! I sent out an unplanned email to all of my subscribers about connecting with Soul. It was so cool! If you’re not on my list, then you can sign up here on SimplyFearless.com
65. {11/25/09} I got really angry today because my dog wouldn’t poo on her morning walk. All I’m going to say about this is that it inspired a great journaling session where I let myself be angry, cuss, and pour out all kinds of negative energy onto the paper. In the process I discovered some interesting things about the role of perfectionism in my life. Good stuff!
