Do you ever tell yourself that you’re not good enough?

Posted at 10:01 am under Life Coaching

It’s so easy to put yourself down, isn’t it?  You shouldn’t have said that. Or how could you have done that? Or what about, what were you thinking?

Any of this sound familiar?

Well, as a life coach it is my job to help people make their desired changes and achieve their goals.  And guess what? If you are beating up on yourself, then you are keeping yourself stuck.

Seriously.

If you want to move forward in your life, then begin by accepting yourself exactly how you are right now.  As soon as you let go of the need to change, you begin to change.

Sounds crazy right?! That’s why so many people stay the same!

Play with this idea for awhile and let me know how it works out for you.

I’m guilty of this. But it’s so easy to do! Luckily, I’ve learned to catch myself and correct my words. So for instance, I’ll say, “Oh I’m so stupid!” And then I catch myself and say out loud, “No, I’m not stupid… I just forgot…” or “…I’m just a little tired” or something else that isn’t as critical.

It’s always so funny to see my friends look at me as I go through this exercise. I hope they are taking notes rather than thinking I’m nuts.

I just read this today and boy oh boy did I need to hear this! I am stuck and I guess the truth is that I’m keeping me stuck. I need to break out of it. I WILL break out of it.
