Feel Like Giving Up?

Posted at 9:10 am under Life Coaching

Wanted: Inspiration

I have enjoyed an amazing week with lots of success in my Life Coaching Practice. Today I find myself a bit low on energy and have dedicated my day to nurturing myself. One thing I decided to do was to surf the net for inspirational quotes. And then I remembered that there is a coach I know who just launched a "Quote of the Week" email program. So I swung by her website and subscribed to her generous service. Here’s the link just in case you would like to receive some inspiration in your inbox too:

So, I just received my first quote as a new subscriber and it is GOOD! She also added a couple of empowering questions with it, which are really cool. About 8 months ago this same coach sent me this quote:

“Most of failures are people who do not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ~ author unknown

What do you do when you feel like giving up? And who can you turn to for support and encouragement?

How easy it is to lose hope or feel like results are out of our grasp! I know because I’m there. Thanks for your uplifting words. Good motivation for continuing to chug along and each day getting closer to a new success.

Yes, so easy to lose hope! Which is why we must nurture it.

Yeah, I know it sucks, but results are out of our control. All we can do is stay acutely aware of each step we are taking. Is it taking us closer to or farther away from what we want?

You’re welcome, Sweetie! I know you are getting closer to your desired outcome. I can feel it!

What do I do when I feel like giving up? I am pretty stubborn, so giving up is not very easy for me to do. Does that mean I am successful and always reach my mark? Hardly much of that either! I turn to myself, I turn to my best friend, and more and more lately I am learning to turn to God’s Word for the support and encouragement I need.
My newest personal motto is: Failure is NO LONGER an option!

Wow. That really is a powerful quote. Thank you for sharing that. I can relate so well to the feelings of giving up.

Welcome, Kima-Shai! Nice to meet you :~) I definitely turn to God for support and encouragement. I haven’t really connected with the Bible though. Recently I attended a 6 week Bible Study just to try it out and I kept running into a lot of conflicts with my personal belief system. Some of it just felt like a language barrier – like I didn’t really disagree per se, but was getting stuck on particular words. I’m glad I attended. I’m also moving on to other ways to receive support and develop my spirituality.

I love how you are not letting failure bring you down! You go, Girl!

    You’re so very welcome, Momisodes!

You know, I believe that it’s important to give up from time to time. Give up on what’s not working. Give up on holding that grudge. Give up on insisting to be right. Give up on trying to be perfect.

So, you go ahead and give up when you need to. Just don’t forget to dust yourself off and get back to living!

    Rock it out ~
