What I learned through NaBloPoMo
“I am not afraid. I was born to do this.”
{Bad-ass tee by Tina Steinberg, not your ordinary artist. Check out her on-line store at TinaSteinberg.com}
I made it. Today is the last day of NaBloPoMo and I mean, I really made it! I blogged every day for the entire month of November and I am so proud of myself. Yay! I didn’t even pre-write anything. It’s not that I wouldn’t have done that if I had needed to, but I didn’t need to. I made the time to sit down, write, and publish every single day. Woohoo!
I learned so much through the process. I learned that when you pour your mind and heart into it, a blog has energy. It quite literally takes on a life of its own. And when people comment, they take part in creating it too. It’s like a community art project where the artist works on her clay sculpture in public and people stop by to help, to add their creative insight, or to simply sit and talk.
I discovered that writing about the heart of the matter clears a lot of inner space so that you have more room to love.
I learned that blogging after I run and before I shower is a great way to squeeze it into my schedule. It was both easy and hard. Sometimes the words flowed and it was hard to stop at 30 minutes. Sometimes expressing myself was hard and it was easy to stop. Either way it helped to write.
Most importantly, I learned that I am Simply Fearless and I love inspiring others to be the same. {Watch for BIG and EXCITING things in 2009!}
